Bison Men Compete at Sun Angel Track Classic

TEMPE, Ariz. - The North Dakota State men's track and field team completed competition at the Sun Angel Track Classic in Tempe, Ariz. Saturday, April 7. The Bison posted four top eight finishes in a meet that included No. 10 Arizona State and No. 10 Arizona.
In the discus, Blake Elsen finished fourth with a mark of 148 feet 2 inches. Casey Orgon continued the throws success in the shot put, taking seventh with a throw of 50-4 ¾.
In the 800 meters, Josh Hintz placed fourth in 1 minute 54.63 seconds and Spencer Uetz was sixth in 1:55.78.
The Bison also had two athletes compete in premier races Saturday. In the premier section of the 800 meters, Moses Heppner placed ninth in 1:50.68, only .15 off his personal best.
In the premier section of the 1,500 meters, Tyler Leverington finished 19th in 3:53.46.
NDSU next returns to Fargo to host the Bison Open April 13-14 at the Ellig Sports Complex.
