Bison Women Post Nine Top Eight Finishes at Sun Angel Track Classic

TEMPE, Ariz. - The North Dakota State women's track and field team tallied nine top eight finishes at the Sun Angel Track Classic on Saturday, April 7. Three members of the team also posted all-time top 10 marks.

Brittany Schanandore finished third in the 800 meters in 2 minute 9.10 seconds. Ashlynn Simon was fifth in 2:09.57, which is the same time she posted yesterday at the Mesa Classic. The time ranks 10th all-time at NDSU. Faith Kruchowski took eighth in 2:11.95.

In the steeplechase, Maddie McClellan placed fourth in a personal best time of 10:53.0, which is 15 seconds faster than her previous best. Her time is fifth in school history. Amy Jo Thorne was seventh in 10:59.63.

Three members of the team competed in the premier races as well. Paige Stratioti ran a personal best time of 55.12 seconds to finish seventh in the 400 meter premier section. Her time is seventh all-time at NDSU.

Antoinette Goodman finished sixth in both the 100 meter and 200 meter premier races. She clocked in at 11.89 seconds in the 100 meters and ran a time of 24.34 in the 200 meters.

The 4x400 relay team of Schanandore, Simon, Goodman and Stratioti placed seventh with a time of 3:45.52.

The NDSU women return to Fargo to host the Bison Open April 13-14.
