NDSU's Anderson Second Heading Into Final Round at UC Irvine

SANTA ANA, Calif. - North Dakota State's Amy Anderson is alone in second place after a 4-under-par 68 in the second round of the UC Irvine Invitational presented by Kia on Monday, Feb. 25, at the Santa Ana Country Club.
Anderson, a senior from Oxbow, N.D., shot 6-over 78 in the first round and is at 2-over 146 seven shots behind tournament leader Alice Kim of Gonzaga. The winner gets a sponsor exemption into the 2013 Kia Classic LPGA event.
North Dakota State is 10th in the 12-team tournament with a 642 entering Tuesday's final round. Gonzaga leads the field with a 593, UC Irvine is second with a 609 and Long Beach State and Portland State are tied for third at 618.
NDSU senior Cydney Hasselberg is tied for 24th overall with a 157. Hasselberg shot an opening-round 81 and her 76 in the afternoon round was the only other Bison score under 80.
Bison junior Abby Knutson is tied for 59th with a 169, sophomore Sarah Storandt is tied for 61st with a 172, and freshman Hailey Boner is tied for 63rd with a 173.
