Bison Finish 1-2-3, Win Concordia Cobber Open by 25 Shots

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. - North Dakota State had the top three finishers and won the Concordia Cobber Open women's golf tournament by 25 shots Friday, Sept. 7, at Wildflower Golf Course.

NDSU junior Abby Knutson tied a career-low with a 1-over-par 73 and got her first collegiate victory by three shots over senior teammate Amy Anderson.  Bison sophomore Sarah Storandt was third with a 77.

North Dakota State's four-player score was 307.  Southwest Minnesota State was second with a 332, and NDSU's second team tied with North Dakota for third place with a 336.

Freshman Hailey Boner scored an 81 for NDSU's first team and tied for seventh place overall.  Junior Megan Swan tied for 12th with an 84.

NDSU's second team got 82's from senior Cydney Hasselberg and freshman Cassie Wurm, and 86's from junior Jackie Johnson and sophomore Emma Kusick.

North Dakota State is scheduled to play in the Nebraska Chip-N Club Invitational on Monday, Sept. 10, and Tuesday, Sept. 11, at the Country Club of Lincoln.
