Joyce’s Performance History and Personal Bests

2011-12 SEASON

Cross Country (Sophomore): No. 2 finisher for the Bison at The Summit League Championships (10/29) and the NCAA Midwest Regional (11/12) ... took 14th place overall at the conference meet, finishing the 8k in 25:32.70 to earn second-team All-Summit League honors ... 75th overall at the NCAA Midwest Regional with a 10k time of 33:20.23 ... captured third place at the Bison Open (9/30) in a season-best 8k time of 25:41.88 ... seventh at the Tim Young Invitational in 25:48.21.

INDOOR (Freshman): Recorded a season-best 3,000m time of 8:52.64 at the Bill Bergan Invitational on Jan. 28 ... posted a season-best mile time of 4:22.92 at the to win the Cobber Duals on Feb. 4.

OUTDOOR (Freshman): Claimed a fifth-place finish in the 10,000m at the Summit League Outdoor Championships, finishing in 32:17.34 ... 16th at the league championships in the 5,000m ... season-best 5,000m time of 15:04.18 at the Sun Angel Classic on Apr. 7 ... season-best 1,500m time of 4:01.34 at the Bison Invitational on Apr. 14.

2010-11 SEASON
Cross Country (Freshman): Competed in all six meets...Notched a personal best 6k time of 19:15.08 at the NDSU Open...Clocked in at 25:57.2, an 8k best time, at the Jim Drews Invitational...Finished 24th at the Summit League Championships (8k) in 26:01.0...Named Summit League Newcomer of the Championships as the top freshman finisher...Placed 105th at the 10k NCAA Midwest Regional in 32:33.59.

Outdoor: Redshirt

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner in cross country and track...Three-time all-conference honoree in cross country...Minnesota state runner-up in 2009...Two-time all-state in cross country...Personal best 5k time of 15:35...Ran the 1600 and 3200 in track...All-conference and all-state performer three years...Also an all-conference athlete in Nordic skiing.

PERSONAL: Son of Michael and Patricia Joyce...Has four sisters, Caitlin, Maggie, Caroline and Ellie and one brother, Kevin...Majoring in civil engineering.
