North Dakota State Women Strong Down Stretch, Pull Out 65-55 Win Over UMKC

Katie Birkel scored all 13 of her points in the second half as North Dakota State defeated UMKC 65-55 on Monday.

North Dakota State University hit 11 of 11 free throws and went on a 15-4 run during the game's final four minutes to defeat UMKC 65-55 in a Summit League women's basketball game played Monday, Feb. 8, before 880 spectators in the Bison Sports Arena. North Dakota State (13-10, 8-5 Summit) is scheduled to travel to South Dakota State (14-9, 10-3 Summit) for a 5 p.m. contest Saturday, Feb. 13, at Frost Arena in Brookings.
